Biography - Paul Berryman, Owner, Stable Technology
Paul Berryman has a unique background that combines a strong technical knowledge base and experience resolving problems. His consulting firm, Stable Technology, LLC, specializes in information technology and education for the layperson.
EXPERIENCE
Paul is an adjunct instructor at Lone Star College in Kingwood, TX, teaching undergraduate computer courses. Prior to starting Stable Technology, he worked as an IT security officer and auditor in the commercial sector. He is known for identifying time-wasting pitfalls and disorganized processes, finding solutions, and getting those solutions implemented. Managers have highlighted his ability to listen, evaluate a situation, and then calmly and professionally engage the owners to develop more effective ways to conduct business.
Paul proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy for over six years, working as communications and engineering officers on Navy warships. He led divisions of specialists, monitored their actions and ensured each mission was completed. As an intelligence analyst in Washington DC, he was trusted with the nation’s highest level of security clearance. The U.S. Navy recognized his efforts with several military awards including two Navy Commendation Medals and a Navy Achievement Medal.
EDUCATION
Paul holds a Masters of Science in computer science with an emphasis in information security. He is a member of the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium (ISC2) and the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) professional organizations. He holds certifications as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) that require annual training to maintain. He also holds two National Security Administration (NSA) Information Systems Security certifications.
PERSONAL
Paul’s number one fan and first client is his wife, Stevie. He jumped at the opportunity to get her quilting business, Cut-Ups: Quilts and More, LLC, started acting as her accountant, billing department, and Webmaster. Although work is important, he also values his time spent working with not-for-profit organizations. He is an Assistant Scoutmaster for his son's Boy Scout Troop 626, Committee Member for Cub Scout Pack 1999 and teaches 2nd grade Sunday School.
